She.

She’s a daughter who obeys
A friend who listens
She’s seventeen
A God-send
One night
Head looking out of the window
She sees a shooting star and whispers
‘God, I want to find true happiness’
She wants to fly
When midnight falls
When the stars have faded
She writes poetry out of her loneliness
She wants it to be sung
She asks a friend to make it rhymes
Tomorrow maybe
One night
An angel calls her to see the view from up there
May she find true happiness
She leaves with a kiss in the air
Hoping the wind, the rain, the rainbow
Could convey her message to loved ones
She never comes back since
Tonight
Just like any other nights
She wanders about the dream of someone
In her mother’s sleep
Old friends’
Ex-boyfriends’
She’s in their wallets
On the walls among the posters
In their arms when eyelids shut
She smiles at them every time
Motionless; forever
